About Guilin & Yangshuo

Skip Guilin city — it's a transit hub, not the destination. Yangshuo, an hour south, is where those iconic karst peaks rise straight out of rice paddies. Rent an e-bike and get lost on the back roads between Moon Hill and the Yulong River. The Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is 4 hours of scenery that doesn't let up, but go early or the motorized raft noise spoils the mood.
